How to Use a Fomo Referral Code

Two Ways to Apply the Code

fomo ties a referral to your account at the moment it's created. You can attach pav098 in either of two ways, and both give the same discount.

Option 1: Open the Referral Link (Easiest)

1. Open fomo.family/r/pav098 on the device you'll sign up with.
2. Continue to the fomo web app, or download the app from the App Store or Google Play when prompted.
3. Create your account with Apple, Google or email. The referral is picked up from the link.

Option 2: Type the Code in the App

1. Download fomo and start creating an account.
2. When onboarding shows a referral or promo code field, enter pav098. Letters are lowercase.
3. Finish sign-up.

Doing it at sign-up is easiest, because the app only shows the code field on that screen. If you miss it, see I skipped the code field below.

How to Check the Discount Worked

Before you confirm your first trade, look at the fee shown in the buy screen. With pav098 it should read 0.45% of the trade amount instead of the standard 0.50%. Datawallet's guide gives the same tip: confirm the rate on your first order before tapping confirm.

A quick way to check: a $1,000 buy should show a $4.50 fee, not $5.00.

On Solana, orders under $190 are billed in flat bands instead of a percentage, so check on a Solana buy of $190 or more, or on another chain.

Common Problems and Fixes

I Skipped the Code Field

You can still get the discount. According to fomo's help center, support can attach a referral code to an account that doesn't have one:

1. In the fomo app, open your Profile, then Settings.
2. Tap Help and Support, then Contact Support.
3. Ask them to add referral code pav098 to your account.
4. Once they confirm, check the fee line on your next trade.

The discount applies to trades after it's added; fees you've already paid aren't refunded.

The Link Opened but No Code Appeared

If you opened the link in one browser and signed up in another, or opened it in a social-media in-app browser, the referral may not carry over. Open fomo.family/r/pav098 in your normal browser, or simply type pav098 into the code field when it appears.

The Code Says Invalid

Check for a typo or extra space. The code is pav098: the letters p-a-v, then zero-nine-eight.

I Already Have a Fomo Account

If your account has no referrer, ask support to add pav098 using the steps above. If it already has a referrer, fomo's help center says it can't be removed, but support can change it to a different one on request.

After You Sign Up

Fund your account with Apple Pay, a card or crypto, then trade as normal. Every buy and every sell at the standard rate is charged 0.45% instead of 0.50% for as long as you keep the account. See fomo fees explained for what that adds up to.
